Memories as images that continue to grow alongside oneself
When we hear the word “memory,” it often evokes a strong impression of something that has already happened—something unchangeable. Yet, as time passes, not only does the story within our memory gradually get edited, but often, as we ourselves grow, different aspects of the same memory become visible.
This series is an extension of the ongoing project under the overarching concept of Memory Containers, positioning stones from specific locations as symbols of the place of memory and witnesses to recollection, while layers of ceramic material surrounding them visualize the narrative. It attempts to express memory as a process that continues to change and grow more fluid. Starting from an imperfect yet complete memory, it explores how different stories interact within a single narrative to form new tales, and even the divergence between the memory of a place and its story.
